Junior Triathlon 2024

North Cotswold Tri and Run Club are excited to announce that they will be holding their first family friendly, Junior Triathlon event on Sundaday, 7th of July 2024, at Cotswold Leisure/Cotswold Academy, Bourton-on-the-Water, GL54 2BD.
The event will be open to all Junior age groups from 8 to 16 years of age, of any ability.
The indoor swimming will take place at the Cotswold Leisure pool, with the cycling and running on the sports fields of the Cotswold School Academy. The site offers plenty of parking and spectator areas for all the family. In addition, there will be refreshments available for all those on site.

Under BTF rules, age groups are based upon the age of a competitor on the 31st of December 2023. If you would like more information on BTF age group categories please visit the

Competitors remain responsible for counting and completing the correct number of lengths/laps for their age category.
Race Details - (provisional: from 10am 7th July 2024).
Swim: The swim will take place in the heated, indoor 25m pool.
Bike: The cycle is entirely off-road on grass fields. The number of laps will differ by age group. The course is relatively flat. Hybrid or off road bikes are recommended.
Run: The run is off-road on grass fields. Like the bike course, the number of laps run, will differ by age group.
Transition: The transition area is a grass area with racking for bikes. Entry and exit routes will be signposted.
Marshalls: Marshalls will provide coverage on all parts of the course and will provide guidance for all competitors.
First Aid: There will be First Aid cover on site for the entirety of the event.

Event Information
The races will be Chip timed. All race finishers will receive a sustainable finishers medal.
Age group certificates/trophies
For the winners of each age group team (male, female). For those that cannot attend the presentation, these will be sent via by mail, post event.
Car parking, changing facilities, toilets and refreshments are available on site. More information will be sent out a week before the event.
We’re sorry, but due to the event taking place at a school, dogs are not allowed on any of the site.
Entry
This event is held under British Triathlon Federation conditions. All entrants must already hold a BTF membership, or purchase a day licence as part of the entry fee.
A competitor may only enter one event, but may participate in an age category above their age.
Start Times and Course
A map of the 2024 course layout is included in the race information below. All further race information with start times and detailed course information will be emailed to all competitors and published on our website 2 weeks before race day.
Please note that there may be minor amendments to the race guidelines and programme due to weather conditions on the day.
Refunds
If you are unable to attend the event due to any circumstance, a refund will be at our discretion (based on time consideration). Transfers of a place may take place with the organisers authority up to 2 weeks prior to the event.
Please ensure that submitted details are accurate, as changes cannot be made to details once entry to the event closes on Wednedsday 5th July at 22:00.

Cotswold Leisure/Cotswold Academy, Bourton-on-the-Water, GL54 2BD.
Parking is available at the School on a day rate. The School charges a day rate for parking with all proceeds going to charity.
Please note: Bourton is very busy in the summer with tourists so there is no free parking available in the surrounding village.
