Junior training consists of a 4 week cycle running from March - October.  We normally train TSS and TS1 age groups as one, then  TS2, TS3 and Youth age groups together, both starting at the same time.

Week 1 Swim Session - Saturday starting at 4pm at Bourton on the Water Leisure Centre
We practice a range of swimming drills, from endurance to sprints, not forgetting the specifics of getting in/out the water and practicing transitions.

Week 2 Bike Session - Saturdays starting at 9.30am at Far Peak (Nr Northleach GL54 3AP)
Bike skills are really important, so we work on everything from selecting the right gears and power, to the finer details of mount/dismount and putting your helmet on!
Bike
Week 3 Run Session - Saturday  starting at 9.30am at Far Peak
Sprints, time trials, long runs, fartlek training - we cover it all.

Week 4 Skills session - Saturday starting at 9.30am at Far Peak
There are many extra skills needed for Triathlons '4th' discipline - transitions!  So this session requires the bike and running trainers for a brick session.

Special sessions - we also try to vary our training with a range of different activities and environments too.  These include Open Water swimming sessions, group bike rides, Cross Country runs and more.  We try to run these on the Skills session week.

 Minimum requirements:
All children must be capable of swimming 50m (2 lengths) without undue stress. Unfortunately we cannot offer swimming lessons.   Please see below for minimum ages in our Junior Membership.

They should also own a bike and a bike helmet but you can HIRE a bike and helmet from Far Peak Cycle Hire should you need to.

Below is the current age groupings for juniors, what we will be able to offer will depend a lot on interest shown, however we will do our best to accommodate everyone.'
